J\u00f8rgen Qvist, Katarina G\u00e5rdfeldt and Julia Muchowski presented the Polar Connect initiative (which includes North Pole Fiber). The topics covered during the session were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>how to combine fiberoptic cables with scientific data collection\/research infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>impact and benefits for science and society<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>how to fund an Arctic Cable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>data management of collected data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session was very well attended, and there were fruitful discussions with an interesting combination of speakers and panellists from diverse backgrounds.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arctic Circle Assembly attracts a wide range of participants covering many aspects of the Arctic.
