The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat has the pleasure of inviting you to a webinar on Polar Connect. The goal of Polar Connect is to build a submarine cable system between Northern Europe and East Asia, equipped with environmental sensing technology. Please see the Polar Connect Vision 2030 for more information.
The event is co-organized with the Vetenskapsrådet / Swedish Research Council and NORDUnet.
Polar Connect will enable novel Arctic Research Infrastructure and provide access to unprecedented data from the deep Ocean. As part of the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility, CEFDigital funded project 22-EU-DIG-NPF North Pole Fiber, we will present and discuss opportunities for scientific data collection along the route of Polar Connect with a focus on the seas between the Nordics and Svalbard.
